Why Use
ScissorShield?
Hair stylists are using
ScissorShield because it

If you're a
busy stylist, you know cuts can occur. Most often they occur when you're
busiest. When used properly ScissorShield will help speed up your cutting time
and virtually eliminate the risk of ever cutting yourself again.
When you cut
your skin, you are at risk of developing infections--even if you are healthy.
People who have diabetes, HIV/AIDS, other long-term illnesses such as cancer, or
are taking drugs that suppress the immune system or chemotherapy are more likely
to develop wound infections. In addition, any cut that goes below the top layer
of skin could need sutures which requires a visit to the doctor.
Healthy in-tact
skin does not allow blood-borne diseases or bacteria to enter your body.
This is the
only cutting guard system that is reversible and allows perfect freedom of
movement, regardless of your technique.
ScissorShield
is made with high quality sterling silver and gold. Designed with aesthetic
appeal in mind, ScissorShield looks great on and will protect as well as bring
lots of compliments.

Cut With Care, but if you don't use ScissorShield,
here are a few tips on caring for your cuts.
The most
important first step is to thoroughly clean the wound with soap and water being
careful to remove any foreign materials that might be in the wound and which can
lead to infection. Apply direct pressure for 10 minutes to stop any bleeding.
Then, keep the area clean and dry. Continued care to the wound is important.
Washing the area gently with soap and water daily without scrubbing is best as
the wound heals. Seek medical care early if you think that you might need
stitches. Any delay can increase the rate of wound infection.
